Diet Drinks Are Fattening

A study by Journal of Obesity in 1997 found that artificial sweeteners may actually stimulate appetite. Researchers from Purdue University in the US found in 2004 that when an artificial sweetener is used to sweeten food, our body starts to get confused and loses its natural ability to gauge the caloric content of artificial sweeteners.

When a person consumes something loaded with sugar, the body that has been used to artificial sweeteners will fail to trigger feelings of fullness. If you don’t wish to get fat from sugars, just exercise some discipline and avoid having too much sugar-loaded food. Replacing sugar-loaded food with sweentened food will only result in a failure of the body to recognise real sugars as having caloric value.
